Spring Co-ed Softball at Northacres Sundays

In a tight back and forth game, Mark H's Grand Slam early in the game would end up being the difference. His towering shot out to center field was a no-doubter as the outfielders just turned and looked at the ball clearing the fence on it's way to the freeway on-ramp.

The first game of the day at Northacres proved to be a nail-biter as two teams who know each other very well, Chico's Bail Bonds and PB Army, faced off. This game saw 4 different lead changes and wasn't decided until the final swing of the bat in the bottom of the 7th inning. With the game tied at 14 runs a piece going into the bottom of the final inning, Chico's Bail Bonds got their lead runner on with a double. Then Chico's Bail Bonds' own Bryan Frost stepped to the plate and, just like earlier in the game, calmly and confidently directed a hard shot right where he wanted it....deep into the outfield for the uncontested game winning rbi to win in dramatic fashion. Congrats to Chico's Bail Bonds for winning a tight 15-14 contest and to Bryan Frost for being Player Of The Game!

On a chilly evening at Northacres, it was Lisel who brought the heat on the field. Lisel had 4 awesome at-bats reaching base on every single one. Lisel's play in the field also brought Muy Caliente to a decisive victory as they jockey for position in the standings. With playoffs coming up soon, momentum is very important, and Lisel's hustle, energy not too mention bat brought out the best in the entire team. It was a great afternoon at Northacres, and an awesome day for Lisel!

PB Army rolled into the championship game behind the hitting, base running and hustle of Troy Lund. Being the lead off hitter in any inning, it's important to get your team going and the best way to do that is lead by example. Well, without a doubt he is the leader of this ball club and his hustle seems to motivate the rest of the Army to get after it. Way to lead Troy and good luck in the championship game.
