Late Spring Midcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

On a blustery Thursday night where the foul balls were plenty and the kicks reaching the outfield were few ETown4Lyfe matched up against Britches & Hose. Down several runs a Britches player really got a hold of kick and drove that big red ball deeeeep, but making a break on the ball which would make Ichiro proud was Brandy Perkl. She covered ground in the blink of an eye and made the kind of catch reserved for the big leagues. She also went 2-3 from the plate, but it's her stellar defense which makes her our player of the week!

In an evening which was better suited for flying kites than playing kickball there were 4 games where it was truly 'anybody's game'. In an Everett Kickball first there was one player nominated twice for player of the game. In game one it was What The Font vs. ETown4Lyfe which ended in a tie, but in game two it was What The Font vs. Britches & Hose ending in a 4-2 win for WTF . . . that's What The Font of course! Although the results were different, one constant was the outstanding defensive play of Carrie Ratcliff. She became known as the 'defensive blackhole' to such a degree that teams were either kicking away from her or walking back to the dugout as an 'out'. For her constant defensive prowess Carrie Ratcliff is our player of the week! Way to go Carrie!!!

On a perfect Thursday in Everett with the sun shining, birds chirping and the sound of red rubber on dirt . . it was a great day for Kickball! It was an especially great day for Discount No.5 who had a double-header. In the first game they put away What The Font 16-1, and in the second game they were able to repeat their performance 16-6 over Green Eggs n' Ham. Speaking of repeat performances, Bunsong "Boon" Pumma was nominated not once, but TWICE for player of the game! In game #1 Boon was absolute lights-out at first base making catch after amazing catch and then tacked on a home run to boot! In game #2 he was able to get yet another home run and a triple! Nice wins Discount No.5 and big congrats to Boon, our Player of the Week!!
