Summer Co-ed Softball at Maplewood Sundays

After a first inning of 2 injuries, blood and all, Heather made a diving catch in the outfield. The only thing is she was diving head to head with her teammate. Oh my, I thought I would be dealing with another injury. But instead, a glove rose from the ground holding the ball. Amazing catch Heather.

Travis' defense was a huge factor in the Crabby Swingers win over the Dirty Karl Roves. Late in the game, he flashed his glove after running down a sinking fly ball in the outfield for an amazing diving catch.

There were many great individual performances by the The Red Rockets this past Sunday but the Red Rocket that stood out the most was Ryan Ferguson. Ryan pitched a gem when he was on the mound, and also played some great defense in the outfield when called upon. On top of that, he did quite the job with the bat, nearly hitting for the cycle. Congratulations to Ryan for being Player of the Week.

Winner Buys Beer went ahead and used this name in the literal aspect this season. The only game that they won was this final game. They decided as they do every year to dress in a different manner. There were lots of bright colors and most of the men were wearing ladies attire. I really like the matching purple hair and tutu.

But the play of the day was from a superhero (go imagine!!!) Captain Caveman (AKA Isak) leaped into the air and made an amazing catch to end the game. He needed the cape for the extra lift that is for sure.
