The championship game was close for the first 2 to 3 innings. The PPA Plonkers and the Footballers are both strong teams with a lot of depth in their lineups. The Footballers did a great job of keeping the ball low, kicking line drives into the outfield where no one from the PPA plonkers could catch them. Kelly Fox played a strong game and sealed the victory with a late game in the park home run.
