Summer Softcore Kickball in Ravenna Mon/Wed

Tyler C. started the season off as the hero of the night helping his team get a solid victory. In a game that was close in the early innings was opened up with one big kick. Tyler stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and Booted a shot deep to left, clearing the bases for a grand-slam and the runs needed for the win. Great game Tyler!

Adam S earns this week's Player of the Week for contributing on both sides of the ball, and for helping out fellow Underdogs and subbing in for a team that was short. He made an amazing diving catch at SS that, after replay review, was upheld and wow-ed everyone on the field. Adam also contributed some long kicks that drove in some clutch runs, then made the game-ending double play while the other team was threatening, nailing the door. When the next game's teams needed an extra guy, Adam of course stepped in and continued to play his stellar defense. Congrats Adam!

Melissa pulled out a great double play, snaring the ball out of the air and pelting the unsuspecting runner trying to get back to 2nd to end the inning, to snuff out the rally and propel the Extra Special Ballers to the win. Nice work Melissa.

A complete game on both sides of the ball for Adam. On offense, he had a huge 3 run homerun and tallied at least 6 RBI's. Defensively, he was all over the field making catches including a key double play to end the game.

Emily O. is this weeks outstanding player for her mad skillz at second base in the Championship. Emily made some great plays showing off her great hands as she made out after out, bailing out her team-mates less then perfect throws. Emily had zero errors and did everything with text book form, except for one throw to the pitcher where she fell and skinned her knee, it happens. Great game Emily!
