Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Mondays

The 3rd baseman for team STARBUCKS dominated the infield on Monday night. He has developed a stellar technique to deal with bunting. The unknown 3rd baseman used a running start behind the base path to charge in and snatch up any bunts thrown down the 3rd base line. He kept teams in check all night. Nice work 3rd baseman for STARBUCKS!!

A great man once said: "as long as you still have heart, you're never out of it". Well actually, we might have just made that up, but it still rings true. Los Toros were down 8-2 midway through their game with the powerful Bada Bings. The Bings had played strong and didn't look like they were letting up any time soon. It might have been a foregone conclusion if not for the heart of the Los Toros. They squeezed in a run here and there, until a costly fielding error for the Bada Bings turned the tide and momentum towards Los Toros. By the top of the seventh it was tied at 8 all. The Bada Bings weren't ready to give it up just yet, though. They tacked on two more runs in the top half of the inning. But Los Toros had come from too far back to not go all the way now. They tied the ball game at 10, and with runners on first and third, Rich "The Ricker" James lined a single into left field that was just enough to bring in the winning run. Los Toros had pulled off the come from behind upset win. Wotta game!

Kathleen was the glue that bind. She held the Corner outfield together snagging the barage of Assassin fly balls, including some nasty benders that tailed away from her.
On offense she showed her wily skills with some filty bunts.
