This game had everything you wanted in a championship game. We had offense, defense and unbelievable catches and interceptions. Leading up to the game, both teams marched, with confidence through the playoffs. Big Yac rose to every challenge thrown their way and tonight was no different. They came back to beat the tough Indy team with a game winning catch by Will Stroud. Their spirits were high as they entered the final game. Likewise, Talledega Kinghts rose to the occassion every week and in the early rounds of the playoffs, their confidence was peaking. They defeated Nice D with the help of Eddie Kwon's 2 TD receptions and some key defensive stops. In the title game, Talledega Knights capitalized early on some costly interceptions by Big Yac. They were also got all their recievers involved early which sparked their defense. They were led by Brady Halverson and Stefan Dickason who made circus style catches/interceptions that inspired their team. Big Yac kept their composure and when the second half started, they went to work. They scored quickly at the start and it looked like they were going to give Talledega a run for their money. Unfortunately for them, Talledega would not be denied on this Knight (pun intended). The playoffs were very exciting and the earlier rounds left many teams exhausted as they progressed further. However, these teams persevered and my hats off to both teams. Talledega earned the championship but give credit to Big Yac who hung in there but came up a bit short in the end. Thank you everyone for great material and a great season.

The Warriors came into championship night with a chip on their shoulders. They considered themselves underdogs or that was their approach to the playoffs. They battled throughout the playoffs and played a close game against Feed the Hawks to get here. If not for Renee Maggs' heroics, it would have been an early night for them. On the other side of the coin, Lawn Wranglers came into the night with confidence as they were the high seed and a team of athletes as well. The Wranglers had a close call in the previous playoff game but that seemed to fuel their fire even more. In the championship, the game started out close and the Warriors led by seven at half. The Lawn Wranglers would come back to build 20 point lead and it seemed as though they were going to cruise to an easy victory. The Warriors, who never seemed rattled, dug in their heels by making defensive stops and this allowed them to huge comeback and, now, we had a game. In the end, the Warriors came back and completed the upset. It was a game for the ages and it was definitely fun to watch. Thank you everyone for a great season!
