It was a magical playoff run for Tenacious D, particularly on the last night of the season. In the semi-finals, the gang faced a perennial USL powerhouse in the Gators and didn't take the lead until there were fourteen seconds left to go in their 32-31 win. In the final round, they played much truer to their team name as they held the vaunted passing attack of Team Chaos to just 14 points in a 27-14 rout.
