C.J. Rankin Provides the Power
Sunday's six o'clock game was a real nail biter with Arbornauts squaring off against always tough Belltown Pub. There were plenty of fireworks from both sides as they battled back and forth throughout. Ultimately it was the bat of C.J. Rankin that made the difference. He homered twice while batting in six runs and scoring two. The defense and pitching was also stellar and provided for a lock down type of performance on defense as the game got into the later innings. Great win for Arbornauts and great performance from C.J.

Hope this does not jinx Greg S. Streak at the plate, but it earns him this weeks POTW. Greg went 5 for 5 in his squads big win win putting up 25 runs, but Greg as been hot all season. Rolling into the game Greg was 9 for 9 combined for his first two games and he kept the hot hand going 5 for 5. Greg is on a 14 for 14 hitting streak helping his team knock in runs. Great run Greg, keep it going!

Greg Stackhouse's Hitting Streak Comes to End
Before Sunday's games Greg was 20 for 20 at the plate and looked like he would continue that streak after his first three at bats. During the streak he sprayed the ball all over the field going to left going to right and putting the ball in play all over the field. I don't think that I have ever seen anyone hit safely in 20 straight at bats and it's quite accomplishment for any league or any player. Great run Greg.

Whether it was in the outfield or at the plate Brandon showed his hitting and defensive prowess. He batted 4 for 5 and played the outfield like it was his last game he was ever going to play again. Great game Brandon.

Scored Over 50 Runs In 3 Game Gauntlet
They have reached the pinnacle of USL softball capturing their first league title and in dominating fashion. They would not be denied from the first game to the championship game and it showed in their play. Their pitching was stellar, their short stop play was golden glove like and their hitting and base running was off the charts. Congratulations to Belltown Pub for a much deserved and hard fought championship!!
