The Stinky Fingers took home the U-District Summer Rookie League Championship with a bang on Wednesday, scoring 32 combined runs in their semifinal and final games. Led by first baseman and #3 kicker John Miller, they dispatched Leny's in the finals, 17-5. The Stinky Fingers set the tone early, scoring their first two runners before Leny's could record an out. The game looked like it might be close when Leny's scored three in the third, to bring the score within one. Stinky Fingers pulled away in the fourth though, and their solid defense kept the game out of reach. Congratulations to both teams on a great season.
