In what was probably the quickest game played in Kickball history, the SloRollers the OG's defeated Where My Pitches At? 6-2. The game lasted only 28 minutes, but that's all the SloRoller's needed as they jumped out to an early lead scoring 2 in the first inning. Solid defense was played by both sides and hits a rarety thanks to the speed and agility of both team's respective pitchers. Player of the Game goes to Nikki Beaudoin who came up with a circus catch at second base killing the opposing team's only rally of the game. Congrats to both the SloRollers the OG's and Where My Pitches AT? for an excellent season and a great championship game played!!!!
In the 3rd place game, Kickin' Dong came out victorious as the Entercommies were a no-show. However, in good spirit, a friendly exhibition was played with Kickin' Dong playing the remaing players from the SloRollers who hadn't gone to Mulleady's to celebrate. AND, if the championship game wasn't enough excitement for you, the exhibition was a great match in its own right! Defense was flashed by both teams, including "Flying Ballarina Catches" by right fielder Sky Hoagland as Kickin' Dong edged out the short-handed SloRoller's 5-4! Congrats to all teams that played and the great sportsmanship they displayed on Playoff Wednesday!!!
