Kickin' Grass
Kickin' Grass turns triple play, wins big!
Well, there's something you don't see everyday. Playing in their first kickball game ever, Kickin' Grass turned a triple play in the first inning, then kept pouring on the runs to easily win 10-3. With the bases loaded, the ball was kicked to the short stop, who tagged second base and threw back to first to record the triple play. Amazing, congrats team!

Teddy Dann
SUCK MY KICK
Theodore had a tremendous offensive output on Monday night. He had two huge blasts both ending up for 3-run triples. Then followed that with a 2-run double for a total of 9 RBIs. On D, he was very solid making every catch that came his way. A complete game and a well deserved player of the week.

Jason Kowalski
Looking to Score
Jason had a great game on both sides of the ball. He played a solid 3rd base making several key catches on hot line drives as well as covering bunts and preventing extra bases for the runners.
Offensively, he had some big kicks, and at least half his teams' RBI's, but none bigger than his bottom of the 7th 3-run double to tie the game at 11. If not for his head first slide into 3rd for an out, he may have also been the winning run. Go get'em next time Jason!

Jeff Geiger
Kickin' Grass
Jeff G earns this week's Player of the Week for his heads-up baserunning and awesome defensive skills at 1st base. All game long Jeff was making awesome catch after awesome catch, even a few where he stretched so far I didn't think he was coming back up! That coupled with a couple of nice hits and alert baserunning skills to score the go-ahead run in the top 7th helped Jeff earn this award! Congrats Jeff and team!

Arda is parda the duo
Start if off right
Fun and excitement ensued this week as kickballers are getting better and teams bonding. In a game of selflessness you must sacrifice for the better of the team and that's exactly what Arda did. The first kick of the game was short of his position so he made the wise decision to re-kick the fly ball back to his second baseman, creating one amazing play and a great start to a great game. keep on kickin in Arda!

Kyla Hall
99 Problems, But My Kick Ain't One
Kyla was making plays all over the field, earning this week's Player of the Week award. She started the game at 3rd base and made a couple of nice grabs on difficult popups, including one in foul territory as she almost slipped in the mud. The play of the game, however, was her one-handed catch of a fly ball, which she than ran down to second base to nail the runner who had forgotten to tag up for an awesome one-handed double play. Kyla moved to catcher for the last inning and made the last 2 outs, including throwing a dart to nail a runner by a step to end the game. Great game Kyla!

Dan Muething
The Sensual Winnebagoes - Indy #K8
Dan had a great game on both sides of the ball. On defense, he caught everything that came his way and then some. Also had a nice double play to kill a potential rally by the Karate Kittens. Offensively, he had a big 2-run double and also scored 2 runs. Great game Dan!

Cody Chung
The Sensual Winnebagoes - Indy #K8
Cody had some huge kicks, great pitching and solid D all over the field. In the 4th inning, he blasted a kick over the outfielder's head for a 3-run triple and also had a single and double in the game for a total of at least 6 RBI's. His pitching was probably the best i have ever seen--perfect speed, no bounce and right down the middle every time, so fat in fact, that the opponent was able to knock one completely out of the park. Cody was key in helping his team earn a split in their big doubleheader on Monday. Nice work!
Kevin played hard in what ended up being a forfeit victory for his team. He was amazing at catcher--backing up 1st and 3rd, making great throws to 1st off bunts and just having a really great attitude the whole game. On offense, he had a huge 3-run triple and scored 2 runs with a total of 6 RBI's. Just a great, complete game performance.
John showed up late but got things turned around for his team in a hurry. When he arrived in the 5th inning, the Kittens turned it up on offense by busting out for 6 runs, 3 of which John had a part in. On defense, it was a similar story, 27 runs scored against them in four innings, then, after John arrived, only 1 more run given up in the final 3 innings. You gotta get this guy to games and get him there on time!

Arda Kuyumcu
Ball Busters
Arda came up big as his team won both games of the double header. Combined, he had 5 triples, knocked in at least 12 runs and scored nearly as many himself. On defense, he had a key double play late in game 1 that helped seal the victory for Ball Busters. Nice work Arda!

Jeremy Schwartz
99 Problems, But My Kick Ain't One
With his team chanting his name, Jeremy came up with a couple key, run scoring kicks that helped 99 Problems earn a big win and get some momentum heading into the playoffs.
In his first game, Derry kicked three triples knocking in 8 runs and scored 4 times leading his team to a big playoff victory. In the semi-final game, he continued his great kicking. It was late in the game, 6th inning, when Derry came up an kicked another huge triple to score 2 and tie the game. He scored on the following kick giving 99 problems the lead but it was not to be as they couldn't hold on for the win.
Stan had a great game on both sides of the ball. He had a big kick to right field to score 2 runs in the 1st and scored a huge run in the bottom of the 6th to give his team the lead in the championship game. His exclamation point was the catch on the deep kick, back to the warning track [if there was one] to the wall [I mean the concrete path] and makes the huge catch for the final out in a 1 run trophy victory. Awesome!!
