Friday night softball under the lights is back and what better way to end the night then to watch all star ball player, Robert S of Good Burger SC, grip it and rip it in the last game. Robert's first at bat was a lead off homerun, where according to multiple reports, went 440 feet. Record?....yes. Before this night, the record was 300 feet and had been the mark to beat for nearly 70 years. Robert, you are now the new distance champion! Also, worth mentioning, Robert added a grand slam to the mix later in the game to help his team defeat the never surrendering Lab Rats. Great job to Robert and his squad!

Game of Overthrows are thinking league title here in the next few weeks. Their pitching, their run production and their drum tight defense is scary good. Led by Allison and Stephanie on Friday night they crushed Here For The Beer scoring 32 runs over 5 innings and it could have gotten worse. This team is strong, well coached and is going to be a major challenge for any team trying to snatch the league title from under them. Great game and great win!!!

Team Is On Fire Right Now
The Fowl Balls are staring to come alive and the way they are producing runs is scary. They are hitting well, fielding well and just down right getting after it. Scoring 40 runs sends a statement to the next team you play that we are for real and we will score at will. Led by Sam's awesome Grand Slam this team did not slow down and instead kept their foot on the pedal the entire game. Great win and great game Sam!

The Ninja Turtles are on the hunt for another league title and they have added some key players to help them in their quest. Their defense, the pitching and their hitting has been taken up a notch and Friday night was a preview of what this team can bring. They are going to be a tough fight for any teams headed into the playoffs and they are more than capable of getting in there and mixing it up with the big dogs. Great win and great game Aryn.

The Balco Bombers are looking like the team to beat in the league right now. With a combination of hitting, power, base running and lights out pitching they are looking scary good. Scoring 34 runs over 6 innings is quite the statement to send to the rest of the league that they are for real and looking for yet another championship. Sarah batted 5 for 5 on Friday night showing great consistency from the plate and played equally great on defense. She had a triple, 2 doubles and 2 singles while batting in 3 runs. Great win Balco Bombers and great game Sarah!!

The Ninja Turtles are at it again and leaving a wake of destruction. Their bats are hot, their defense is super tight and Morgan is playing out of his mind. They knocked off 2 teams on Friday night to advance to the next round of the playoffs and they made it look simple and easy. For the second time in their brief team history, the Balco Bombers are raising the championship trophy once again. I have seen this team go from getting beat up by some of the better teams to just spanking teams now. They showed resilience, patience, and more than anything a willingness to take a big loss and come back for more each year. Their confidence is never shaken. This team is stacked from top to bottom and the word dynasty comes to mind when their name is mentioned. They have sent a clear message to anyone who wants to jump in the ring with them. It's not going to be a pretty fight and you may wind up on the losing end if you don't bring your A game. Congratulations Bombers!!
