Summer Co-ed Softball in Kirkland Sundays

Morgan had a big day for Ice Cold Pitches. In a game where runs were being scored left and right, Morgan was the biggest contributor. Morgan was integral in putting the Pitches up big early, hitting a home run as they jumped to a 9-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Morgan would lead both teams in RBI for the day as the Pitches were able to hold off a late charge from Recreational Hazards.

Get out the rye bread and mustard, Grandma! Ben earns this week's player of the week award for knocking two home runs, including a grand slam as part of a 7-run 5th that put the game out of reach. Keep slugging, Ben!

Leigh from the Shaggy Muskrats wins player of the week. In a 16-4 win over Indy team #16 Leigh led her team to victory. Scoring 4 runs and getting on base plenty of times were key to the team's victory.

Eric earns this week's Player of the Week award for pitching both the semifinal and final game and contributing from both sides of the plate. His first game the knuckle ball was moving, aided a little by the wind but forcing numerous weak popups and flyouts, Seattle Shaggy Muskrats really had no chance. In the final matchup, he veered from the knuckle ball in favor of the straight drop ball and it worked to perfection, limiting the high-powered offense of Team RAMROD to 5 runs. At the dish, Eric did it all from both sides, knocking a couple of homeruns and forcing some defensive miscues with his aggressive baserunning. Congrats Eric and the Thick Sticks!
