Sunday night belonged to the "One-armed Wonder", Jody Jasmer. As nicknames go, this one was apt. Jody spent some time on the mound pitching, with some good defensive relays to first for outs, and also gave a great offensive performance, with a grand slam, and all of this with one entire arm in a cast! It was a much needed performance as Boats and Hoes squeaked out a high-scoring but close game against the competitive Kick Me In The Jimmy. Jody even through in an inadvertent man-bunt for good measure. "I like to mix it up; keep them guessing," he said after the game.
Shaun gobbled up every fly ball that came near him the entire game. This was a defensive battle, any mistakes likely would cost runs. At the plate he had gotten connection on the ball, but unsuccessful in doing anything more than a sacrifice flyout. But when the game was on the line, bottom of the sixth with runners in scoring position...Shaun Kehrberg came through for his Boats & Hoes. In a cluth kick to left-center, he sealed the fate of the seasoned Cajones. Great job!
