The final game was a true match of champions, with the number 2 seed playing the number 1 seed. Pin Stalkers took the early lead with a pair of turkeys, but Balls of Fury were never far behind. They fought back with more closed frames than open ones, and several turkeys of their own. It all came down to the 10th frame, and Balls of Fury showed that they had the stones to close this one out. In the last frame, Balls of Fury delivered a game ending smackdown of 5 strikes and 3 spares! These hard hitting rolls gave Balls of Fury the extra edge they needed, and by a margin of just 4 pins, they rolled past Pin Stalkers for the win! Congrats to both teams, you bowled an excellent game, which will certainly go down in Underdog history!
The POTW award is shared this week by teammates Tyler and Dana! They were both instrumental in bringing Championship t-shirts to Balls of Fury! In the first playoff game, Tyler owned the lanes with 5 strikes in a row! His big turkey gave Balls of Fury the confidence and points to enter into the final match. In the champs game, Dana came out of nowhere to bowl the game of her life! She had 4 strikes in a row, including two in the 10th frame! Her lifetime high of 171 clinched the win for Balls of Fury! Well damn done, Tyler and Dana!
