Paul Staiger invokes a certain nostalgia in the heart of any observer that reminds one of a time when kickball was played with class and dignity. Paul is not a player but rather a fan who pours his all into each play and inspires his team. It can safely be said that Paul was responsible for 10 of his beloved Cobra Kai's 17 runs due to his hearty clapping and carefully-timed taunting of the opposition with a "Hey batter, batter, batter!" So faithful and devoted is Paul that he insisted on watching his daughter play in Cobra Kai's play off game on his birthday. What did this humble man with crutches say after the game about his legendary status? "Well, I was thinking naughty thoughts about all the girls out there the whole time." I applaud Paul for his truly outstanding support and for having his mind exactly in the right place.
Keith is a dominating presence and commands the respect of all the mere mortals that surround him. He captains his team, Cobra Kai, and disciplines his team to come to the games early. Indeed, such is the personality of Keith that his own players both love him and fear his wrath and dutifully submit to his wise requests. Keith bested his opponent in his Thursday match (as usual) by informing his team of the correct time and place, a task his competition failed to do.
Keith Smith, the captain of the notorious gang known as Cobra Kai, led his team to a glorious victory this past Tuesday night. Keith reached base every time up to the plate, and his aggressive base running netted him two runs scored, which was the difference in a narrow 7-6 win.
Keith had a walk off 2 Run Home Run to come back from a one run defecit. He really came through in the clutch to help lift his Cobra Kai to victory. Great game Keith.
