Coming off a down to the wire one point victory in game one, you might expect a team to be a little drained for the start of their next game, but not Industrious Crew. Crew exploded to an early 22-12 lead before halftime and looked to clinch the championship. Beermaster had other ideas, battling back to tie the game late. Industrious Crew managed to get points on the board and a 4pt lead and then deny Beermaster's Hail Mary with 40s left on the clock to secure a championship win. Congratulations Industrious Crew, neigher rain, cold, or close games could damp out your winning spirit.
Great players make great plays when the game is on the line. Brandon is one of those players. Whether it's making the final point in a one point victory in the semi-finals, or scoring 26 points for your team in the championship game, this guy knows how to play under pressure. If flag football had a fantasy all-star team, Brandon would be the leading receiver.
Wally Cruz earns this week's Player of the Week award for coming through in the clutch and grabbing a game-winning INT as Jerry's Kids were driving for a potential go ahead score. He also contributed 2 TDs on the offensive side. Good luck the rest of the way guys!
