Who would have thought that after 3 seasons, starting as an indy team, and watching there Championship hopes fade away each season, that now, at Lower Woodlands on Monday, would be their time to shine. And shine they did. Alice sacrificed pride, body and her chest getting home in the second. What she actually tripped over is still a mystery, but after crossing home, full on, flat out, ate dirt. She wore the evidence for the rest of the game. Matthew "Stutz-Spanked" on a huge double play, Peach had the game winning catch for an out, and all the Legends bucked up to demolish the opposition in a 14-4 game. Enough said, now the Legends are real legends, not just in their own minds!!!
Matthew has his own version of 'taking it to the other team.' In a huge unassisted double-play at first he pulled off a clutch play that served to re-invigorate his team on an epic level. If ever they needed confirmation that the Legends deserved to be in the lay-offs, the double play was it. The Legends we on their toes the rest of the night and pulled off a huge victory!!
