Usually when captains excel, they find it within themselves to nominate a different teammate, even though they were the star of the show. When it comes to Guy M, he has zero trouble tooting his own horn and nominating himself. Any why not? Guy kicked in 3 runs, had a hustle triple and pitched lights out, racking up 5 K's and playing great defense. I was once told that if you don't toot your own horn every once in a while, the band won't know who to play for. Well done, Guy!
Raquel R earns this week's Player of the Week award for her outstanding performance on both the offensive and defensive ends. Offensively, she was dropping bunts when they were expecting bombs and dropping bombs when they were expecting bunts. She drove in 4 runs over 2 games and was crucial in their victory. On the defensive side, she was a black hole at short stop, loudly calling "MINE!" every time a ball was hit her way and coming up with every catch. Great job out there Raquel!
