Spring Softcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

Dan D earns this week's Player of the Week award for achieving a kickball rarity- throwing a shutout! His second game of the night was a thing of beauty, as Dan let his defense do most of the work. He also contributed a HR in the 3rd inning, upping his HR streak to at least 10 consecutive games. Keep it up big guy!

Usually when captains excel, they find it within themselves to nominate a different teammate, even though they were the star of the show. When it comes to Guy M, he has zero trouble tooting his own horn and nominating himself. Any why not? Guy kicked in 3 runs, had a hustle triple and pitched lights out, racking up 5 K's and playing great defense. I was once told that if you don't toot your own horn every once in a while, the band won't know who to play for. Well done, Guy!

The Baled and the Beautiful had a run for their money this week. with Spocka Boll looking to take the number two seed out the battle ensued. The game was all tied up at the start of the 10th inning and the Balled and the Beautiful looked weary with the game. In the top of the 10th they finally broke their 5 inning dry spell and scored a run on a sac fly. This left only 3 outs between The Balled and the Beautiful and victory. In stepped Rufus!!! Playing diligently at first base, Rufus made all three outs including the game sealing catch to advance the Balled and the Beautiful into the finals. Great Game Rufus!
