Go Team Berr overcame the sweltering heat to win two very close games back to back to win the championship.
It was a entire team effort today as many different players had key hits throughout the two games but Steve Vacanti had a clutch bottom of the 8th hit to win the game to send the team to the championship.
The whole team deserves to be player of the game this week. Each member of the team contributed to the success of Go Team Berr!
On a crazy night in which balls were flying everywhere, every which way, one man was clearly prepared for anything. Standing on the pitching mound, Jason Lightfoot knew the danger when he decided to take up the task of trying to shut down the Wyld Stallyns. His last name definitely described his abilities late in the game as a batted ball was headed straight for an area that generally requires protective equipment. Unfazed, Jason quickly shifted sideways and got out of harms way, then decided he had enough time to catch a ball that was seemingly going 100 MPH. It was definitely the play of the week, hence the honor of Player of the Week being bestowed upon Mr. Lightfoot.
