With the short porch in right field at Interbay, one might think that the star of the game would have come from a player launching balls high into the air over that fence for home runs, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Kerry Ok stole the show for two games straight Thursday night with terrific defense at 2nd base and in right field, scooping up ground balls with ease and making the game winning catch in right on a scorcher with two men on and two out. Kerry made an outstanding difference in the game with her play at the plate and between the lines, and for that helped carry her team through the first round of the playoffs. Way to go Kerry!
A memorable moment it was when Trevor drifted back from the pitching rubber for a routine infield pop fly. Spilling a$$ over teakettle, the ordinary became extraordinary as he produced his own dust storm, leaving the crowd in opaque suspense, only then to emerge with gleaming white ball in hand. Children cheered and old men wept. For making a Crabby Catch into a Web Gem, a well merited POW.
This weeks player of the week goes to Brian Kinnear of "Crabby Swingers". This week he earned it it a very tight game that went down to a "nail biting" 7th. Brian drove in lots of RBI's in this tight match-up with 2 big home-runs, and also played great D which earns him the player of the week. Great game to both teams!
