Jared astounded and awed players all day long with his powerful kicks to all deep parts of the outfield. More than a few times I heard gasps from fans as he punished the ball with his foot.
On defense he covered an amazing amount of open space, and even used tricky camouflaging to "hide" in centerfield.
After three games in the grueling heat, Jared deserves Player of the Week honors!
Chase started off this offense-laden affair with a legit ground rule double, easily the farthest kick this umpire's seen at 132nd.
Chase followed up his lead off boom with two triples later on, and some nifty defensive outfield plays.
On one play he gunned down an extra base runner at third.
One of my favorites from the Chase-show was a fancy foot race with a lady baserunner.
Great stuff Chase, keep up the fun!
