Mr King led his troops to an 18 to 10 victory over Garrett and One Ball Salute in Wednesday night's championship game at Magnolia Playfields. Yes, there was a winner and yes, there was a loser but turning a blind eye to the score, child-like fun was the overall champion. Thanks to both teams, we were all able to laugh and joke and keep things light and smooth. What a great way for both teams, to end their season!
This week's player of the game goes to Brian Elrod of the Head Hunters. During Brian's first game, he completed an unassisted double play that was being shown over and over again on the jumbo-tron. And in his second game, he hit a go ahead single in the 7th. His value has gone up after this week, so Duane (team captain and G.M.) is gonna have a tough decision to make before the trade deadline. The word around Magnolia is that Duane might trade him to the team "Kicked Last" for a couple of prospects. But for right now, the Head Hunters are going to enjoy their superstar! Great job out there, Brian!
