The day started off with a bang... in the sky that is. In the downpour of rain, Sexual Harassment Pandas played against Where My Pitches At. By the third inning it even hailed! Jayme Larson of Where My Pitches At was not deterred from the crummy weather when it came to playing an awesome offensive game making it 5 for 5 on base.
Next game was We've Got the Runs against Hot Garbage. A close battle that one was! In the end, We've Got the Runs lived up to their name with the help of Jess Hoffman and their solid base running.
Champ game was a blow out! Where My Pitches At showed no mercy against We've Got the Runs. You can bet they were playing with pure determination so as to get those champ shirts!
Ben had AMAZING SKILLS! or lack there of? He started off kicking in front of the base. After that was an obvious no-go, Ben proceeded to "man-bunt". After those oopsie moments, next turn he kicked the ball solid into the outfield. Finally! However... he was feeling himself too much. He head dived (even though the ball was no where close) into home plate. OUT! Man... Ben was just messing up left and right! Once he did all the no-no's at least once, he shook off his "tool-ness" and showed he knew how to play some awesome kickball! From outfield catches, to infield home runs... he made up for his flops and had a solid hand in helping his team secure a win!
Sarah had the most fantastic game off her kickball career today! This gal single handedly closed out an inning making all the outs from her 3rd base positions. She was catching fly balls, tagging her base for the force outs and even solid efforts at throwing the ball at people for the tag out. MVP for sure!
Ben's cannon arm on defense proved to be one of the deciding factors for a big 11-2 win over Team Suck My Kick on Sunday. Whenever his team needed a big play, Ben was able to throw the ball with such force it seemed like he was ready to toss it over Mount Rainier on a whim. Ben kicked a big triple in the game to help complete the effort on both sides of the ball.
