On an extremely warm Seattle afternoon, one man stood tall and showed the fans in the stands what USL softball is all about. John went 5 for 5 on the day with 3 HR's and 2 triples. One of the homers had such power that it hit the fence in far left field. "I haven't seen such power since Mark McGuire retired....." That was a quote from Mariner broadcaster Dave Niehaus. Thanks Dave.
John was a tyrant on the field and at bat no one could stop him. He went 4 for 4 with 2 HR's, 1 triple, and 1 single. All the neighborhood kids stopped and watched him. One quote from a spectator was, "When I grow up, I want to be just like him."
