At the last game of the season, Sugar and Spike took home the win on Monday night at First Baptist. The team communicated well and played as a cohesive unit, paving the way to victory. Not only were their hits, digs, and serves on point, but their sportsmanship was also amazing. Sugar and Spike truly embodies the spirit of Underdog volleyball. Congratulations to our team of the week!
I'm a big fan of Sugar and Spike - this season's Indy team. Just all around awesome folks (hope to see you together next season!). Despite coming up short in games one and two, Sugar and Spike gave all out effort in game three - some majorly impressive flying digs and one-armed banditry. And when they were waiting to sub in - the hustle they showed running to let others into the facility made my day (THANK YOU!!)). And then, in true Underdog spirit - one of the players volunteered to stay fourth late game (woo wee!) and subbed for a team in need. Y'ALL ROCK!
