Sportsmanship was off the charts between games
No matter how intense the competition, there should always be room for sportsmanship in any game. The supportive players of Mediocres did a friendly check up on the injured player in between games. Mediocres wholeheartedly embodied the Underdog spirit with their attitude. For increasing the fun had by all, Mediocres is our Team of the Week. Congratulations!

Natalie Berube
Natalie Berube
big digs & nice passes
Natalie Berube really brought the big digs for her team Big Digs & Nice Passes on Wednesday night at First Baptist. It seemed as if no one could get a kill when she was in the back row! Not only was her passing on point, but her serves were also just as good. With two skills on lock, she helped her team soar to victory. For all of her greatness, Natalie is our player of the week. Congratulations!

Hustle's the name of the game
I'm a big fan of Sugar and Spike - this season's Indy team. Just all around awesome folks (hope to see you together next season!). Despite coming up short in games one and two, Sugar and Spike gave all out effort in game three - some majorly impressive flying digs and one-armed banditry. And when they were waiting to sub in - the hustle they showed running to let others into the facility made my day (THANK YOU!!)). And then, in true Underdog spirit - one of the players volunteered to stay fourth late game (woo wee!) and subbed for a team in need. Y'ALL ROCK!

Balls In!
Balls In!
On Wednesday night at First Baptist, Balls In! only had four team members show up to play - but that did not stop them from putting on a great performance. The four covered the court as if they had all six players out there - it was amazing! They were covering tips, putting down spikes, and digging like pros. Although ultimately they lost 2-1 in the third set, their outstanding hustle as a small team makes them winners at heart. For the fantastic performance by the fearless four, Balls In! is our team of the week. Congratulations!

Sam Spikes It

Balls In!
On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Sam of Balls In! transcended volleyball with his incredible performance. Frequently Balls In! turned to Sam when they needed someone to save a play. Time and time again, Sam answered the call, recording countless kills along the way. The confirming moment came in their second match when Sam was the wall blocking the net, the perfect passer in the back row, and the powerful hitter killing the ball straight down. For his reliable and stupendous performance, Sam is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!
