Throughout the season Drunk in the Gutter dreamed of knocking down Imperial Lanes heavyweight Roy Munson's Kids in the title game. As they envisioned it, Stan, their star, would throw strikes, inspire his team, and with everything going their way, they'd take home the cool championship shirts. But their dream was shaken when, on playoff night, at the moment they needed him most, Stan didn't show.
They won their first game versus the ninja gang Deep Cheese, sparkling in Erin's handcrafted bandanas. Deep Cheese, first in spirit, would later finish fourth behind the mighty third place finishers, The Big Labowlskis.
In the championship game Drunk's "mediocre players" continued to step up including Brittany who bowled her best scores of the year. Suddenly, with a team full of stars, Stan-less Drunk, won the championship. They give Roy credit for a good fight and look forward to next season's fun. Go Drunk!
With a flip of the Underdog enhanced wrist and a proclamation that "it is the power of the band". Now I not confirming or denying that the USL wristbands (which come in a variety of pleasing colors) actually contain magical powers.. but I am saying that Nick was rocking one when he rolled 7 strikes in a row!! 7 in a row!! Way to go! Even got the attention of Drew and Will who, by the way, were beat by Christine in the first game!! Well done all!
