Spring Co-ed Softball at Paramount Sundays

The team that had the first game of the day also had the last game of the day as Twist got to the Championship the hard way. The first game they defeated Hit it and Forget About It in dramatic walk-off fashion thanks to Christian Castillo. They then pulled out a close one against the #1 seeded 206'ers due largely in part to the defensive efforts of Marcus Oesterwinter. Finally Twist squared off in the title game vs. North City Lounge Thirsty Turtles. That's where Twist Restaurant & Lounge decided to pour it on! In their first inning they put up 11 runs and never trailed the whole game behind the powerful bat of Joe Weisser. Congrats to Twist Restaurant & Lounge on a very well earned Championship playoff series & season!

It was a long & winding road to Title Town, but Twist Restaurant & Lounge finally arrived! One steady source of runs & solid defense was their powerhouse Joe Weisser. Joe definitely left his mark on the Championship game with 2 loooooong home runs, a double and a strong arm from the outfield to keep opposing runners in check. The only time he wasn't hitting massive shots deeeeep into the outfield was when opposing pitchers did everything & anything to not give him a pitch to hit...but even that didn't stop him from driving in runs. Congrats to Twist on their epic Championship run and to Joe Weisser for Player of the Week!
