North City Lounge Thirsty Turtles

In a see-saw battle between two heavyweights, Ben came up huge with clutch hitting and made perhaps the defensive play of the year! A back-and-forth game left the Thirsty Turtles down by 5 runs going into the top of the 7th, when the bats lit up and the Turtles tied the game at 21. The Turtles' defense stood strong and held the Swingers scoreless in the bottom half to send the game into extra innings. In the top half of the 8th, The Turtles scored 7 runs, but in a game as unpredictable as Charlie Sheen, the lead was certainly not safe...until Ben Kelly came calling. In the bottom of the 8th, with no outs and a runner on, and the momentum beginning to shift to the Swingers, a line shot was driven to deep right-center. Ben, playing in right field, took off on a dead sprint, left his feet and dove to make a spectacular over the shoulder catch that killed the momentum and sealed the victory. A great game for Ben and the Thirsty Turtles!
