The Dashing Turtles scored some runs early and played great defense throughout the game for a nail biting 5-2 win. Making Progess played well in a valiant effort but just couldn't seem to come up with the big hit when they needed it.
To say she was aggressive on the base paths would be an understatement. She reached base with a hit in every at bat and constantly pushed the envelope pressuring her opponents to make plays in the field. That she was thrown out twice is irrelevant to the fact that she ran the bases like her hair was on fire.
On a day where there was plenty of great pitching, Eric stood out. He pitched 7 shutout innings against Team .08. He helped his own cause on offense, nearly hitting for the cycle, including one monster home run, where he could have walked home.
