In a great defensive and pitching battle,early runs made the difference down the stretch. Mike McEvoy carried the team on his back with early scoring barrages that helped put some distance between both teams in the early innings. Mike went 3 for 4 with a monster home run and was responsible for nearly 50% of the offense. Knocking off defending champion Afternoon Delight was no easy task and steady pitching proved to keep Afternoon Delight's bats in check as the game approached the later innings. They were held to no runs in the 1st, 4th, 6th and 7th innings which proved too much to overcome. This was a great win by a great team and we look forward to seeing them defend that title next season.
