Led by Mac Morrison's 5 for 5 performance at the plate, Twin Diesels run away with the USL Softcore League Title. During their run they scored an amazing 121 runs in 4 games that proved too much for opposing teams to match on their way to the title. Besides being a vacuum at 3rd base the entire game, Mac Morrison swatted 2 deep base clearing bombs driving in a total of 7 runs and scoring 4 runs to account for nearly 50% of Twin Diesels offense. Not being seeded high didn't seem to bother Twin Diesels. In fact it motivated them to prove that at the end of the day it will be the team that wants it the most. Scoring 121 runs in 4 games made it obvious to all that this team wanted this championship and they would not be denied. Congratulations to Twin Diesels for an awesome season and for an awesome display of defense, hitting and run scoring on the way to the championship.

In a great defensive and pitching battle,early runs made the difference down the stretch. Mike McEvoy carried the team on his back with early scoring barrages that helped put some distance between both teams in the early innings. Mike went 3 for 4 with a monster home run and was responsible for nearly 50% of the offense. Knocking off defending champion Afternoon Delight was no easy task and steady pitching proved to keep Afternoon Delight's bats in check as the game approached the later innings. They were held to no runs in the 1st, 4th, 6th and 7th innings which proved too much to overcome. This was a great win by a great team and we look forward to seeing them defend that title next season.
