Joe was ready for some playoff kickball right from the get-go leading his team to an early 7-0 lead with great kicking. He had a double and run scored in both the 1st and 2nd innings but would definitely save his best for last. Ballzinga got a close call at 1st to go their way late in the game and ended up getting 3 runs in the final inning to tie it up and eventually go to extras. After Joe supplied some timely 8th inning D from the hot corner up would come Bottom of the Fifth needing just a run to advance. Becky somehow managed to sneak her way to 2nd with 2-outs and up stepped Joe to smash a walk-off double into left field keeping championship dreams alive.
Taking over at first base was not a problem for Michael who really brought it on defense for Bottom of the fifth. He started by making a great play on an infield kick tagging the runner and getting to the bag for a first inning DP. He followed that with another DP in the second, this time with bases loaded, keeping Sit on my Base scoreless. Offensively, Michael had a respectable day with a nice bases loaded kick to knock in a couple runs and scored twice himself. A solid day of kickball on a sunny Cinco de Mayo and a well deserved POTW.
