After eliminating Bitchin Camaros in the semi final, the Fluffers had their work cut out for them with the Grinders, who narrowly beat the number 1 seed, Chasing Earl.
Women were the key component for the victory. Jenny Spain pitched a tight game and Kelsey Palaniuk made diving catches and had an .800 on base percentage.
Kelsey took her team to the championship. She made diving catches, run the bases like the road runner(she even made the sound) and got on base consistently. She couldn't have done it without the help of her teammates though. Ryan, Damon, Spencer, Nick, Jen, Jennie, Will, Allie, Lauren, Jeff, Dru, Mike and Vivian. Plus the two scorekeepers. Congrats on the championship.
After keeping the game close, but trailing the enitre game, the Fluffers unloaded an offensive onslaught in the bottom of the seventh and final inning. They scored only one run before Doug came to the plate with the bases loaded. Doug then hit a moonshot over the outfielders to clear the bases and score the winning runs.
