A ton of great plays were made tonight and many players had great games, but Justin Kato really rose to the occasion as he led off the bottome of the 7th inning in a tie ballgame against Where My Pitches At. He came to the plate with the score tied at 10 (these teams did tie the last time they played each other) and belted a deep fly ball to rightcenter field that there was little doubt about to end the game in dramatic fashion. Way to come through in the clutch Justin!
In the week's closest game the player of the week had to go to Jon Fredlund of Business Casual. In their game Business Casual needed a one-run rally in the bottom of the seventh to win the game. For Business Casual Fredlund was both a star at the plate and on the field. At the plate he hit a single, double and triple completing 3/4 of a cycle. In the field he was all over the place making catches which one fan described as, "masterfully graceful." Needless to say Jon had a great time on the field this week, way to go Jon!
Although he shared player of the game honors in the tie, Jeff Groseclose wins this week's player of the week honor. In a truly back and forth ballgame between Business Casual and Where My Pitches At, Jeff came through in the clutch. Although the game ended in a 13 all tie, without Jeff's 3-run homerun in the bottom of the eighth Business Casual would have been forced to suffer the loss. Fortunately, Jeff was able to come up with the big hit!
