As the Captain of Hit This, Beth deserves this honor this week. In the battle of the winless teams something had to give. Beth's team trailed early and often but never gave up. Cheering her team on every step of the way. Beth, often took the role of team player and sat out more than anyone else so that every member of her team gets to play. But when it mattered most, Beth came up and help start the rally in the bottom of the 6th that would lead to 5 runs being scored and a come from behind win. As her team celebrated their first victory she gathered the team together, and did a cheer for their opponent and then lead her team to the hand shake and personally thanking her oppenent for a great game. These acts of leadership often get overlooked, but on this night, no one shined brighter than Beth. Congrats on your first win, and good luck on the season!!
This weeks player of the week goes to Megan M. for her 110% effort in the field. Megan early on played a solid 2nd base, even kockinng down a hard grouder with her chin. She stayed in the game getting good hits, and moved aroud on defense. The play of the night came when her opponent's big hitter came to plate. She stood in the outfield focused on the batter who hit a bomb to deap deap left-field and stole a home-run from the batter makig her the player of the week!
