With clutch performances by Scott and Leslie, KEXP was able to squeak out of Sunset Lanes with a 13 pin victory in the championship round. The win was an upset over the top seeded Ball Knockers, who were gracious in defeat.
While Scott carried the weight for the guys, it was Leslie who did the heavy lifting for the ladies. Leslie's 134 in the championship round were the difference in KEXP's title win.
How do you spell motivation in a high pressure competitive situation? B-E-E-R. Who knew this better Thursday night than Scott from KEXP 1? Scott stole a page out of the Underdog playbook when he offered his team a round of beers for a frame of consecutive strikes. This kind of brilliant strategy and strong leadership is what makes a team of champions. Of course, it failed miserably. But Scott did win the nice holographic bowling coaster set for his second game turkey. That's gotta count for something, right? Howsabout POTW. Congrats, Scott. We'll see you in the playoffs.
