After being the bridesmaid for years, the Slumpbusters finally broke through and won their first Underdog Sports Leagues championship. Leading the way was Steve Thornton, who was instrumental in a 34-33 semi-final win over WOTIM and also in a 50-43 win over First Round Letdowns.
You want to see a great statline? Just take a look at the one Steve Thornton put together last night; three touchdown receptions and one interception in the semi-final round, along with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the championship game. It is easy to see that Steve made the difference in the Slumpbusters breaking through and winning the championship for the first time.
