While missing some important players who wanted to watch a game on TV, rather than play it out live, the Ball Bearers were able to overcome some players' absence and put together quite an effort in a one day-two game run to the championship.
In a clutch performance by the Ball Bearers, it was a clutch defensive play that made the difference in the title game for the Ball Bearers. Scott Jahnke certainly played more defense than Michigan or Ohio State, who are as overrated as the Ball Bearers are underrated.
This past Sunday was one of the more rainy days in recent memory. The bad weather implied that the action at Memorial Staduim would be slow and methodical. That was not the case in the game of the day, in which the Ball Bearers were able to outlast Honky Tonk Badonkadonk 28-27. While there was a lot of scoring, the bulk of the excitment came at the end of the game when Stacey Wisner made the play of the day with her one handed catch behind her back. Not only was it an incredible catch, it was the game winning touchdown, advancing the Ball Bearers into the semi-final round of the playoffs next week.
