Lauren really brought the fun tonight!
Both teams agreed she was a unanimous decision for POTG. Her ability to stay "in character" for the whole game, bring laughs to both teams, and put a solid kickball effort together was much appreciated by players, fans, and staff!
Heart of the Team and a great attitude!
The Ballard Drinking Team definitely puts the "fun" in funcore--but their spirit leader, Lauren, takes it to the next level. Between making great stops, throws and catches at third base last Sunday, she would either be seen dancing the night away to the 80's theme or firing up her team with some great cheering and heads-up play. Getting on base twice and scoring a run didn't hurt either in a close, 8-5 victory.
Week one of Funcore kickball is in the books, and Alec earns the first player of the week. In a springtime game where people are knocking the rust off, and honing their skills for future play, the Ballard Drinking Team came out in midseason form. Alec A. earns POTW turning a double-play, and playing great defense. Alec's squad turned numerous double-plays making it look like they practiced all winter for opening day. Alec also had plenty of great kicks, and helped kick in one of their 4 runs. Great game Alec!
