Pitch Please! is this seasons Champs as they battled from the 3 seed spot to win it all. There first playoff game of the night was a tough contest that went down to the wire and Pitch Please came out on top 13 to 10, with solid play by everyone. Elizabeth set the pace with serious speed on the bases and help set the tone with solid bunts. Inn the second game Nate K. opened the game up with a solid boot deep to the fence for a base clearing Triple that broke up a 4 to 4 tie and ended up giving the squad momentum to close out the game 12 to 4 and victorious for the season. Great job Pitch Please!
Elizabeth brings it all on both sides of the ball. Precision bunting to get on base and big kicks when needed for RBI's. She also plays the 'hot corner' like she was born there. In game 1, she had 3 runs scored, made a couple really great catches and had a throw to first across the diamond to nail a runner. She continued her great play in the second game with a couple more runs scored and just being a complete stopper at 3rd base. Nice work!
Arthur B earns this week's player of the week award for his stellar play behind the plate and a couple of clutch early kicks. Arthur drove in 3 runs the first two innings, then fielded bunt after bunt, making it very difficult for the opposing team to gain any momentum. Congrats Arthur and your team!
