Gutt'r Dun and Roy Munson's Kids faced off in a tense first game. Gutt'r Dun, with their celebratory dances of riding the ball returning machine and cleaning off their bowling balls for luck, was able to pull off a major upset by eliminating reigning champs, Roy Munson's Kids, from contention for the title.
Meanwhile, Team Poop Boy put up quite the fight against another returning champ team, 3F. Unfortunately, the win eluded them by only one pin. One pin!
At this point, Gutt'r Dun decided to focus their efforts more on consumption rather than bowling and dove off the booze wave right into a pool of defeat. 3F once again proved they won't be defeated. Hooey!
Roy Munson's Kids are a bit of a dynasty here at Underdog. With several league championships under their belt, they're a lot like the New England Patriots. Except without the cheating. And the pretty boy, supermodel-dating quarterback.
But this upstart 3F Bowling team came in and dominated Roy Munson's Kids from the start. Led by Scott's 205 in the second game, the outcome was never in doubt, as they rolled to a 1322-1116 upset over the defending champions.
Can RMK rebound from this opening night setback and charge forward into the playoffs? Only time will tell.
