Down with the kickness came to play today and they had to bring it all facing up against Booze on first. It started well with a 2-run single and a 2-run triple down the right field line for an early 4 to 1 lead. Tied at 6 in the 4th, they needed [and got] a huge double play that went from 2nd to home, nailing the runner at the plate and keeping the game tied. They broke out in the 6th with a huge 7-run 2-out rally that carried them to the victory and the championship.
In the championship game, Derek got his team going with a big 2 run triple in the first inning. He also played hard on D at first base where he dislocated a finger and had his buddy Nick straighten it out to keep on playing. I guess it was worth it as he came up big late the game with 2 more RBI's and a run scored in his teams big 7 run 6th inning which ended up being enough to win it all.
