Zippy Pitches
There are a few rare occurrences in kickball, a perfect game, kicking for the cycle or a grand slam to name a few. On Sunday night we were witness to another one of those special feats, a triple play. The play was so great that it made Daniel, who made a pin point throw to nail the third out, a no-brainer Player of the Week. The bar has been set high early for Play of the Year as well. Great job Daniel!!

Allison Chappell
Allison Chappell
South Prop Drop
Alison played great on both sides of the ball. After sliding hard at home and getting scraped up, she battled on through the pain to put in the performance of the week, period.

On offense, she went 5/6 including an incredible grand slam homerun, for a total of 6 RBI's. On defense, she made numerous running catches and even recorded 3 outs in one inning. Thanks for the clinic.

Stephanie Duch
Stephanie Duch
Booze on First
Stephanie had a great game on both sides of the ball. She was nearly perfect at the plate, going 4/5 and knocking in 2 runs. On defense, she was a wall at third base making perfect throws and catching some hot kicks, including a huge double play to end the game and hold onto a 1-run victory.

Katie Smith
Booze on First
Katie had a great game on both sides of the ball, with 3 runs scored and 4 RBI's on offense. But her stellar defense was the key to victory as she collected at least 9 outs with great catches and heads-up play.

Brian Crandall
Brian Crandall
BleedingHearts
Brian played his [bleeding] heart out on Sunday trying to help the BleedingHearts get their first victory. In a close game, Bryan played stellar on defense at shortstop where he had several key outs, including a DP to end what could have been a big inning for Bottom of the Fifth.

On offense, he reached base on all his kicks, scored 2 runs and had a key RBI in his team's big 6th [and final] inning 4 run comeback. While not earning a victory, the BleedingHearts got on the positive side by holding on in the bottom of the 6th for a draw. The entire team deserves credit for always having a great attitude and for having an equally great performance Sunday, against an undefeated team.

Andrew MacDonald
Andrew MacDonald
Bottom of the Fifth
Andy had a key defensive play early in the game that really made the difference in what ended up being a 1 run game. Brews on First got the bases loaded in the top of the first, only to see Andy turn a huge DP to keep zeros on the board. He also caught everything that came his way, including a great shoestring catch for another big out late in the game. Defense was big in this 3-2 victory and nobody was bigger than Andy.

Derek Wilson
Derek Wilson
Down With The Kickness
In the championship game, Derek got his team going with a big 2 run triple in the first inning. He also played hard on D at first base where he dislocated a finger and had his buddy Nick straighten it out to keep on playing. I guess it was worth it as he came up big late the game with 2 more RBI's and a run scored in his teams big 7 run 6th inning which ended up being enough to win it all.
