Perhaps in omage to his stupendous catch a few weeks prior, Jason dropped all of our jaws while falling flat on his back to make an amazing catch in the outfield once again. Jason's heart and effort, demonstrated by his willingness to sacrifice his body and concentrate fully through the process of the catch, was a sight to behold on Wednesday. For his heroics (again), Jason is our player of the week!
On Wednesday, Jared's incredible fielding skills saved his team from a comeback defeat. While playing shortstop, Jared made crucial outs at third base, both by throw and by force out. Each of these plays resulted in the final out for the opposing team, stymying what was a serious comeback effort. For his great fielding and additional kicking prowess, Jared is our player of the week. (And he's a Dodgers fan -- always a plus!)
It's not often that a single play earns somebody player of the week honors, but for his catch this week, Jason easily merits the award. While pursuing a high, curving fly ball in center field, Jason fell flat on his back while going for the catch. Undeterred, Jason caught the ball on his way to the ground, drawing ubiquitous cheers from both teams. For dropping all of our jaws, Jason is our player of the week.
A lot of kickball rookies struggle their first time out, but not Casey. From great great catches in the field to hustling around the bases, you never would of guessed this was Casey's first kickball game. Casey also came up huge late in the game when the One Kick Wonders needed to rally. For playing like a veteran, Casey earns the all-important Player of the Week nod for Opening Day!!
