The Transplants seem to be successful in their efforts to adjusting to the outdoors and making their team into a winning unit in the new playing conditions. The sandy conditions actually favored one player in particular, Ted "Scuba Steve" Gormley. Gormley was the king of the dive on Monday night as he led his team to a 3-0 victory on opening night by diving over 20 times to get balls that seemingly were surely headed for the sand. It seemed as if no ball would ever get past Ted and his relentless effort eventually wore down Notorious D.I.G. despite a strong effort.
