We clearly know Uptown Girls' motivation when it comes to the game of kick ball... And that is Jessie. Jessie is clearly the team's MVP as she is the go-to-player on this team. While there is no "I" in team, there clearly is JESSIE in this particular championship team! I really have nothing else to say about this team, but congrats!
I really don't know what's up with the dynamic of the team, but it seems that every week, Jessie Smith is voted by her team mates as player of the game. After Uptown Girls' close victory in the first semi final match, I asked for a nominee for player of the game and OF COURSE, Jessie Smith was shouted out by almost every player on the team. Then after their victory in the Championship Match, I asked the same question and you guessed it... Jessie Smith's name was shouted again! Once I declared that Jessie was no longer eligible for player of the game, the team without hesitation yelled out matt SMITH!!! Yes, that is Jessie's husband... What in the world? But at least they were able to offer up game breaking stats including his game winning 3 run home run in the top of the 7th and last inning of the championship game. Plus he is in fact married to the "Real MVP"...
Back to back weeks, the uptown girls have won, and nominated Jessie smith as their Player of the Game. Although she wants no part o the spot light that is the underdog player of the week, Smith cant deny that shes earned it. A strong member of the teams defense, and a force to be reckoned with at the plate. The Uptown girls are having a strong season, and its due largely in part to Jessie's performance.
